Verify Software Products Meet Exceptional Quality Standards

As a Quality Assurance Technician 2 at CAPSHER Technology, your refined testing expertise will enable you to contribute to the overall testing approach on projects. You will be exposed to the quality standards and testing strategy tailored for each product, leverage advanced testing tools, and manage your workload across multiple projects. We work in a relaxed environment and live in a vibrant university town.

Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the quality standard for significant features and applications. Through collaboration with team members across multiple disciplines, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying effective testing plans. You’ll be a key contributor to ensuring those testing plans are broken down into good test cases and executed efficiently. We expect that you will grow into the Quality Assurance Technician 3 role.

Your daily activities typically include:

  • Create and execute test plans to ensure quality standards are met
  • Drive the testing process on your work
  • Help your peers and junior team members utilize tools and understand testing methodologies
  • Collaborate with a cross functional team to understand software requirements
  • Work from and contribute to high level test approaches
  • Identify areas where automated testing tools would create efficiencies
  • Manage and maintain multiple testing environments
  • Engage team leadership in testing progress

You will be supported by more senior team members, who will help you work at the project level, stay in control of your work, and interface with project leadership. Additionally, they will help you acclimate to the company culture and local community.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has 2+ years of directly relevant experience
  • Is proficient at executing test cases against cloud, web, mobile, and/or desktop software
  • Shows evidence of outlining testing plans for software features or applications
  • Drives towards a thorough understanding of quality issues
  • Holds experience working in cross-functional teams of various sizes
  • Has good organization and time management skills
  • Is meticulous and pays attention to detail
  • Takes pride in their work and contributions to the overall success of projects and the company
  • Is a reliable, hard worker who thrives on uncovering gaps in software quality
  • Is proficient at utilizing and learning technical software tools
  • Demonstrates academic or professional experience working on a team
  • Clearly expresses ideas verbally and graphically
  • Is able to perform physical demands including: using computer equipment in an office setting, occasionally lifting and moving objects up to 40 pounds, and occasionally traveling to meet with clients in person.
  • Is a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, refugee, or temporary resident. Temporary residents do not include those with nonimmigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements may be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. CAPSHER will require proof of work authorization.
